Terms & Conditions - the basics

Welcome to the National Floor Warden Association (NFWA). By accessing our website, purchasing memberships, or using our training materials, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions.

1. Professional Disclaimer (The "Safety" Clause)

The NFWA provides educational resources, training guidelines, and safety templates. However, the NFWA is not a fire department or a regulatory government agency.

  • Local Compliance: All users must follow their specific local fire codes, building management protocols, and instructions from First Responders.

  • Not a Substitute: Our content is a supplement to, not a replacement for, professional life safety inspections or legal advice regarding building compliance.

2. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the National Floor Warden Association, its founders, and its board members shall not be held liable for any injury, loss, or damage (including but not limited to direct, indirect, or consequential damages) resulting from:

  • The use or inability to use our training materials.

  • Actions taken by individuals during a real-world emergency.

  • Errors or omissions in the content provided on this website.

3. Intellectual Property

All content on this site—including logos, the "Floor Warden Code of Ethics," training manuals, and checklists—is the exclusive property of the NFWA.

  • Member Use: Members are granted a limited license to download and use materials for their assigned floors only.

  • Prohibited Use: You may not resell, repackage, or claim NFWA materials as your own without express written consent.

4. Membership and Accounts

If you create an account or join as a member:

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login info.

  • You agree to provide accurate information (no "alias" names for certifications).

  • The NFWA reserves the right to terminate memberships for conduct that violates our Code of Ethics.

5. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Georgia. Any disputes arising from the use of this site shall be resolved in the courts of Fulton County, GA.

6. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time to reflect changes in safety standards or law. Your continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
